As a kid up until now, I’ve been obsessed with anything soft; whether it be a cozy blanket, a stuffie or my skin against clean sheets. I’ve been making homemade scrubs since I was in middle school, (holy shit that was a decade ago), my poor parents had to buy soooo much sugar and oil. They never knew why / how it disappeared so quickly.
You all will find out soon enough, but I absolutely love coffee, so this homemade coffee scrub combines two of my favourite things ever. It just smells so good and makes my skin feel smooth and silky!
I’ve been making this coffee scrub for a couple years now, and it makes for a very popular gift for any occasion! I’ve had so many people ask me for the recipe and now I’m sharing it with you!
So let’s get to it!
So for this recipe you’ll need:
1 cup of (organic) ground coffee
1 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of coconut oil
1 1/3 tbsp of vanilla extract
I mix together the coffee grounds and the sugar, until it’s mixed in evenly!
It show look similar to the photo below!
I then put the vanilla extract in, and stir lightly. At this point it smells soooooo good at this point!
After melting the coconut oil and letting it cool a bit, pour it into the mixture! Stir lots! Make sure you get all the edges and stir evenly.
Honestly, it kind of looks like mashed Oreos at this point.
Once you finish step 1 – 3, put your amazing smelling coffee scrub in an airtight jar to keep it fresh! Bonus points if the jar is cute and decorated!
Go on and enjoy it!
Pro tip, if you want EXTRA smooth and silky skin rub it in a circular motion, and use a fairly cheap 2 blade razor and shave it off! Your skin will be as soon as a baby’s bottom!
